Approved new licenses for three businesses:

• Cloudland Theater, a new music venue at 3533 Lake St E
• South Lyndale Liquors, which is moving to 5516 Lyndale Ave S
• Litt Pinball Bar, which is moving to 2021 Hennepin Ave

Approved application for Como Tap (2124 Como Ave SE) to permanently expand its outdoor seating from four to ten tables.

Approved the authorization of loans totaling $1 million for the development of ZaRah, a commercial real estate project “meant to advance the Black Women’s Wealth Alliance’s long-standing work in building wealth for Black women-owned businesses and employees.” ZaRah is located at 1200 West Broadway.

A public hearing is set for September 26, 2023, to consider:

• The 2024 License Fee schedule
• The Mayor’s nomination of Enrique Velazquez for the position of Director of Regulatory Services
• The transfer of two buildings (2931 Bloomington Ave and 2937 Bloomington Ave) to the Red Lake Band of Chippewa Indians
